Mairi Ritchie - Tech IOSH
Mairi has been a H&S Advisor for Action Media Safety in Scotland for 4 years, working in TV and Movie Production in Scotland since 1998 starting with staff jobs at STV OB and Studio and then BBC Drama Scotland. She worked through the ranks in Production until taking a career break, she trained as florist, and continued the ‘drama’ working in event management for a facilities management company. As part of this role she was required to be the named H&S Advisor. It is there she completed the IOSH recommended courses and NEBOSH General Certificate went on to complete a redesign and modernisation of the health and safety management system for the UK wide company, working in the transport sector including several international airports, Metro and Subway systems and London Buses.
Feeling the pull back into the industry started consulting for Glynn and during this time has worked on high value dramas including Outlander, the up coming Curfew, The Replacement, Lovesick and Shetland. Movies and features, up coming Outlaw King for Netflix, David Walliams’ Grandpa’s Great escape, Whisky Galore and The Legend of Barney Thomson as well as a wide range of productions from commercials to comedy.
Mairi has a Master of Arts in Sociology, NEBOSH Gen Cert, currently undertaking the NEBOSH Dip and holds a Tech IOSH Membership and has a current first aid qualification.
