America’s Got Talent Stunt Goes Wrong

Talent show America’s Got Talent saw an acrobatic trapeze stunt go wrong during a recent episode of the programme.

Husband-and-wife duo Tyce and Mary, trapeze artists, were performing a stunt in which a blindfolded Tyce catches Mary as he hangs from a flaming trapeze when Mary slipped through his fingers and plummeted towards the ground in front of the audience. Luckily, Mary’s fall was cushioned by a safety mat. As a result, Mary was bruised but not injured.

“In the past some venues have asked us to perform without a safety mat,” said Mary. “But it’s something we insist upon.”

However, despite the fall the duo asked if they could attempt the stunt again. They were refused by the judges.

“This is not ‘America’s Got Perfection,'” said judge Ken Jeong. “It’s ‘America’s Got Talent.’ Nobody can do this.”

Mary and Tyce will be continuing to the next round of the competition.
